Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more capable. They pass our tests on cleaning and are able to handle a variety of floors. Find models that allow you to select from a variety of modes, and use their charging docks to automatically empty and clean up stairs.
A lot of the top models work with smartphones. Look for an application that lets you save schedules, maps and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate and creates maps of rooms and floors.
When I tried the S1 It was quick to locate our downstairs, which is home to laminate flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms, plus carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. auto vacuum was capable of driving up to walls and even across raised thresholds without issue. However, it had some difficulty traversing the stairs in one go. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and swung up when it was near carpets or rugs.
The docking station on the S1 automatically empties its dust bin and refills its water tank on board with clean, ozonated waters prior to every mopping session. The dock also provides an extra-deep cleaning solution to the water. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 mopping sessions, however this will vary based on how often you use the mop.
The S1 requires periodic maintenance, just like other 2-in-1 robots. To do this, you'll need to wash the water tank that is dirty regularly to avoid it from clogging. You'll also need to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to prevent them from becoming clogged with dirt or dust. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs' all-in-one robot vacuum and mop is an efficient solution for cleaning. The robot vacuum is rated at 8700Pa of suction and comes with numerous innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning that avoids obstructions and cleans furniture. Its mopping capability is impressive. Rotating mops actually lift the floor and scrub it, rather than just dragging a pad across the surface. Mops can also be dried and cleaned at the base station, if needed.
This robot combination is simple to set up and use, with a clear interface that guides you through the process. It comes with a rechargeable hand vacuum for those areas that the robot isn't able to reach and two water tanks that are automatically emptied and filled when needed. It also has a number of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a great vacuum cleaner. It has a strong suction that is able to easily remove dust and debris that other robots have trouble with. Its navigation abilities are also pretty good, although it can be stuck on small mats and rugs at my home (which you can mitigate by creating virtual boundaries within the app). Its mopping capabilities are also excellent with a pair of spinning mops which are able to lift and scrub floors instead of simply drag the pad across it. The mops can be cleaned with hot water and dried in the base station whenever required. The mops can also be replenished at the top of the station when required.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop were released earlier in the year. But their latest flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It delivers outstanding cleaning results, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a contender for our list of the best robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a longer side brush guarantee a thorough, custom-designed clean.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, getting rid of both large and fine debris. It is equally effective on carpets and hard floors. It also cleaned the most soiled areas efficiently, while avoiding tangled pet hairs and other mess. The sweeping power of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush which automatically swings out in order to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and mop pads that extend along baseboards.
Its navigation system is nimble it can navigate through narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without skipping a step. It can move from one room to another without changing direction, which is a handy feature for larger homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than that of some competitors and leaves a wide space around obstacles. This can result in missing spots.

4. Roomba Q5 Pro
Robot vacuums are fantastic in removing dirt and debris but they're not able to get every speck of dust. It is important to clean regularly, once a week. This is especially important for dust that accumulates in corners, on shelves, and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that both vacuums and mop, is designed to do exactly that. It's easy to connect to your home Wi-Fi network and integrates with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more convenient addition to your daily cleaning routine.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, such as the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensor, but it saves cost by eliminating the mopping functionality and by using a less expensive plastic body.
Even though it's not able to clean your floors, the Q5 has some of the best mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a robotic in this price range. It has a strong suction of 5500Pa, and an automatic empty system so you don't need to empty the bin manually each time. It also has a clever application that lets you choose your floor type and schedule cleanings. It also has an automatic water tank refill and wash system for hands-free operation.
The mops also stand out with its 2700Pa capacity to combat pet hair and dirt, on both carpets and hard floors. The Q5 was among the few robots we tested that did not have issues with high-pile rugs and carpets. However, it was able to not remove kitty-poop or cable tangles. This isn't surprising as it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle-avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robovac we have ever tested. It also uses an innovative mapping system that allows it to reach tight corners and corners that other vacuums are unable to. The K10 Plus also collects more dust in the larger bin, meaning that you don't have to empty it as often. It also has washable filters, which can further cut costs. The robot can recognize carpets, and boost suction if necessary. The app allows you to mark off areas you want to avoid, which is a nice feature.
